Katia Lloyd Jones is a photojournalist originally from Sydney, Australia. In 2021, she completed an honours thesis at the University of New South Wales that focused on the use of national mythology and folklore for political strategizing in the context of Rojava. Following this, she travelled to Southern Kurdistan in 2022, where she assisted with the production of a documentary. Through her work, she is dedicated to encouraging conversations about the Kurdish question.
