About us

Established in 2014 in Germany, the Kurdish Center for Studies (KCS) is an independent non-partisan research center aspiring to inform, educate and encourage international dialogue on the Kurds and their condition.

Through publishing research, interviews with scholars and policy makers and participating in, and conducting conferences, KCS aims to widen the scope of discussion and critical analysis around the complex, multifaceted Kurdish topic. KCS specializes in publishing expert academic analyses on the Kurds with a range of multidisciplinary subject matters.

KCS has thus far promoted extensive scholarly research on the Kurds and Kurdistan in Arabic and Kurdish. Now, in 2022, KCS has launched the English editorial, initiation an exciting new chapter for the Center.

KCS especially welcomes and priorities research focusing on a variety of intersectional issues affecting the Kurds, including on gender, disabilities, environmental and ethno-religious minority studies.
