Tariq Aziza is a Syrian writer and researcher born in Latakia in 1982, currently residing in Germany. He holds a law degree from the University of Damascus (2006). Previously, he worked as a researcher at the " the Democratic Republic Center for the Studies" and as a professor of contemporary political history at the "French Institute of the Near East / IFPO" in Beirut. He has been published in numerous newspapers, magazines, and online platforms. Tariq has authored several books, including: The Black Hole: Papers from the Files of Islamists in the Syrian Revolution (2022), Secularism (2014), and Jabhat al-Nusra for the People of Sham: Al-Qaeda in Its Syrian Version (2013).
